Winter at Wisp Resort

Since 1955, Wisp Resort has welcomed skiers and snowboarders in the Western Maryland mountains.  From a modest operation with one ski slope serviced by a tow rope, Wisp has grown into a four-season premiere resort offering 33 slopes, snow tubing, lodging, dining and shopping during the winter months.

Elevation - Summit 3,115 ft.; Base 2,415 ft.
Trail System - 33 slopes totaling 11 miles of trails on 137 acres, Vertical Drop 700 ft 
Slope Difficulty - 24% beginner; 45% intermediate, 33% expert
Trail Grooming – Beginner to expert, runs are groomed nightly
Night Skiing – Over 90% of skiable terrain is lit for night skiing & riding Wednesday - Saturday and select premium days.
Chair Lift System - Two quad chairlifts, five triple chairlifts, five conveyor carpets, one surface tow
Snowfall - The Deep Creek Lake area averages over 100" annually
Snowmaking - energy-efficient snowmaking systems with computerized weather and pumping stations. 90% of all skiable terrain is equipped for snowmaking.
