Wisp Resort’s Lodestone Golf Course is aware of recent feedback regarding the less-than-ideal condition of the course this summer. We sincerely apologize for any negative experiences our guests have had, and we want to take this opportunity to address these concerns directly. We are committed to restoring Lodestone Golf Course to the high standards our golfers expect and deserve.
We have already begun implementing a comprehensive maintenance and improvement plan to bring the course back to its prime condition. The irrigation system was fixed with assistance of an outside contractor over the course of the summer. More recently, the tee boxes have been overseeded and the course has been fertilized in preparation for aerification in October.
The schedule below outlines the current steps being taken by our outside contractor, Greenview Turf Solutions, and our internal maintenance team to address the issues:
October 2-4: Tee Boxes Core Aerification – The course will be closed to the public to allow for a thorough aerification process of all tee boxes.
October 2-4: Fairways Core Aerification – Fairways will undergo core aerification to improve turf health and playability.
October 2-4: Tees and Fairways Core Removal – Removal of the aeration cores and prepare the surfaces for future treatments.
October 2-4: Greens Core Aerification and Sand Top Dressing – To enhance green smoothness and speed, we will perform a comprehensive aerification and top dressing on all greens.
October 10-12: Tee Boxes and Fairways Sand Top Dressing – Sand top dressing will be applied to all tee boxes and fairways, further enhancing turf quality and playability.
October 14-16: Down at Fantasy Valley – Greens Core Aerification and Sand Top Dressing To enhance green smoothness and speed, we will perform a comprehensive aerification and top dressing on all greens.
