Since 1955, Wisp Resort has welcomed skiers and snowboarders in the Western Maryland mountains. From a modest operation with one ski slope serviced by a tow rope, Wisp has grown into a four-season premiere resort offering 34 slopes, snow tubing, ice skating, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, lodging, dining and shopping during the winter months.
Our hopes are high for a colder, snowier winter! We are rolling out a few new Beginner Programs so tell all of your non-skiing and riding friends/family that this is the winter to learn. The events calendar is filling up with entertainment, competitions and fun-filled weekends including Subaru WinterFest (January 27 - 28) and two Gold Medal Weekends in February to celebrate the Winter Olympics. The $3 million renovation project at The Lodge at Wisp is nearing completion and has made this slopeside hotel THE place to stay for your winter getaway so be sure to book a special lodging package today!
