NASTAR is the acronym for the National Standard Race and is the largest public grassroots ski race program in the world. More than 95,000 NASTAR participants compete throughout the season to win platinum, gold, silver and bronze medals in their age and gender groups. In addition, participants are ranked in their ability group and the top ranked racers qualify to compete in the Nature Valley NASTAR National Championships.
Wisp Resort is proud to offer NASTAR racing to the general public. This is a great way to try racing and is open to all ages and a wide range of abilities. The NASTAR race course is set up on the Little Dipper trail located in North Camp.

The Deep Creek Winter Sports Team (DCWST) is a parent-run, non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the development of young athletes in the winter sports of alpine ski racing, freestyle skiing and snowboarding. Through a cadre of outstanding coaches in each of the disciplines, and by insisting on small-group, personalized instruction, we focus on developing and honing racing and performance skills that will serve our young athletes well in competition and, just as importantly, nurture a passion for skiing and/or boarding that will last a lifetime.
